It all started with the Trevelyan family and their two young sons, back in 1961, who were searching for a touring holiday with a difference. Resourcefully, they built their own home based on a Morris J2 van, which took them to the South of France for their holidays. Learning valuable lessons from the prototype, they returned and incorporated design refinements into a second model, Austin-based this time, which soon attracted the attention of dealers Henley's of Bristol. Faced with an order for five more models, they went into partnership with local builder Bob Halling and Auto-Sleepers was born. Today Auto-Sleepers remains a family orientated business and is still staffed by people who are passionate about quality motorhomes.

Auto-Sleepers has 48 years experience in meeting the needs of customers who are looking for the best in British-built motorhomes. We are based at Willersey in the Cotswolds and we still take a pride in our hand craftsmanship and design expertise. Great time, care and effort go into the making of an Auto-Sleepers motorhome and it shows. The furniture, fittings and fitments all have a high quality, well-finished look and are built to last for years of use. And because our designers have used and lived with our motorhomes, they know from experience what works and how to make the best use of every cubic centimetre of interior space. Autosleeper Van Range Auto-Sleepers campervan models use most of the bodywork of the manufacturers base van. We then add our own interior fittings and roof to give you that all-important extra headroom.

On our Peugeot-based Symbol, the roof is an aerodynamically styled solid high-top made of insulated GRP.

Our WV-based Trooper, in contrast, has an elevating roof. It offers marginally less insulation and storage but means that while you're driving you have a 'normal' low roof van, aiding manoeuvrability.

A camper van also makes good sense if it's going to double-up for everyday use when you're back at home.

Autosleeper Low Profile Motorhomes Coachbuilt low-profile motorhomes are the happy medium between the car-like drivability of the campervan and the space and luxury of bigger coachbuilt models.

Being coachbuilt, the entire body is made by Auto-Sleepers, for the highest levels of noise and temperature insulation. But with lower roof height than a full coachbuilt conversion, you have improved drivability and lower fuel consumption when cruising on motorways.

The Peugeot-based Nuevo ES and the Ford-based Eton are two of our most popular low-profile motorhomes - both are easy to drive, yet like Dr Who's Tardis inside!

Autosleeper Coachbuilt Motorhomes Full-size coachbuilt models like the Ford Transit-based Windsor and Sigma EK offer the closest thing you'll experience to a true home from home.
