    Auto-Trail 2015 Launch Weekend
    6th October 2014
Friday 19th September saw the start of our Auto-Trail 2015 Launch weekend. The event had proved popular prior to the event with the booking line closing approximately three weeks before due to maximum attendee numbers having been reached. Throughout the day motorhomes arrived both on-site at Newark and at our overflow rally field at Smeaton's Lakes ready to view the new range of Auto-Trail motorhomes, including the brand new Imala range and to enjoy our night time entertainment.
By Friday night Brownhills' showroom was transformed displaying the new Auto-Trail range on one side, with the other half of the showroom dedicated to our evening entertainment. The stage was placed in front of a star cloth, which brought a little glitz to the vast showroom. Come Friday night, following a round or two of bingo, our audience was entertained by Lee Lard, with his own style of Peter Kay comedy. Lee did not disappoint, his quick wit ensured that the laughter never ceased until he left the stage. If you get a chance to see Lee Lard make sure you do!
Throughout the day on Saturday 20th September was the chance to peruse the 2015 model range for Auto-Trail, shop in our Accessory Shop, at the Trade Stalls and customer stalls available. Due to the good weather, the outdoor games also proved popular. Come night time, the entertainment area filled up again ready for food service at 6:30pm. Roy G Hemmings, one of the longest serving Drifters, along with the Prim-ettes took to the stage and with their amazing voices wowed our audience. Motown music has a way of getting people dancing and our event was no exception to this. Our Compere then took to the decks and played tracks until close at 11pm...we even caught the Prim-ettes dancing along to our disco!
The weekend was thoroughly enjoyed by all and the work that Brownhills' staff undertook to deliver the event did not go unnoticed. With staff cooking, serving the meals and working the bar on both Friday and Saturday night the weekend was without doubt a huge team effort.
To top it all, an amazing £1,400 was raised for our chosen charity of the year - the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance. Thank you to our generous customers as this really is a fantastic result!
