Our Late Summer weekend, which took place from 16th – 18th September, was our final Club Member weekend event for the year. Following covid times, we had availability for less attendees than we would have done in prior years and as such the event booked up within a few hours of the booking line opening.
Club Members were on the dance floor shortly after The UK Bee Gees took to the stage on the Friday night where most people stayed throughout their set. After a short break Bjorn Illusion took over the reins with their Abba tribute act. For the first time ever, we had to encourage the band to leave the stage after they continued to play on well after their set was due to finish, they were clearly enjoying the very warm reception they were receiving from our audience!
With cries of “best weekend ever” after Friday night’s entertainment everyone eagerly awaited to see what Saturday night would bring. Jane from Encore Entertainment performed a set through dinner service and was followed by Rory and David, our Singing Waiters. A set of classical music filled our showroom which took everyone by surprise and led to a standing ovation. Jane, David and Rory are truly exceptional singers who know how to entertain their audience! Comedian Steve Terry then took the helm and ensured laughter resounded throughout the room during his hour long performance. Encore Entertainment returned with West End Encore where we were treated to a selection of songs from the musicals with favourites from Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera and Grease to name a few.
