The weekend of 8th - 10th April saw Strictly return to the Brownhills showroom once more, this time with a new member of the professional dance team - Jowita and her partner Michael.
Club Members who had booked for our Strictly Motorhoming weekend event started to arrive on site and at the overflow camping site - Smeaton's Lakes - from Thursday 7th April. With the event starting on Friday, complimentary minibuses were booked to transport customers between our main site, Smeaton's Lakes campsite and Newark town centre. From Newark Town Centre, people were able to cross the bridge over the River Trent to visit Nottingham or the historic and lovely city of Lincoln.
From 6pm on Friday night, members were welcomed into our showroom where the staging and seating area was set up ready for a night of entertainment. After a Pie & Pea supper, which was catered for brilliantly by our cafe, Walk Like a Man performed their tribute to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. They were fantastic, as were the band they brought with them, with the singers coming out into the audience to dance with our Club Members. Andy Jackson, our DJ, then kept people on the dance floor until we brought the night to a close.
Saturday night saw a varied evening of entertainment and after a ham salad dinner, silence fell on the showroom whilst Bingo took place. Michael & Jowita then taught those who wanted to learn the steps, how to dance the Salsa. After a short break, giving time for Club Members to complete our quiz, Michael & Jowita returned with their showcase of dances which were simply stunning.
