Our Summer Spectacular event took place from 10th - 12th June where our lucky club members were treated to performances by comedian Jim Davidson, The Rat Pack Show and Deja Vu.
Following a last minute change of act, due to Ultimate Elton being unable to perform, we managed to secure a booking for Rat Pack - Swingin' At The Sands. Tribute singers to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr wowed us on Friday night with favourites such as Mr Bojangles, Fly Me To The Moon, That's Amore, New York New York ending with My Way and put on a great act throughout.
Saturday night, following a Ploughman's dinner, the hilarious Jim Davidson took to the stage to the delight of our audience. He really was brilliant, never has an hour gone past so quickly. Then multi tribute party band Deja Vu performed two sets getting our club members onto the dance floor. Andy Jackson brought the night to a close with his disco.
Feedback from the weekend has been great and the best news was that we also managed to raise £1,897 for Macmillan Cancer Support, our charity of the year. Money was raised via our raffle prize draw, sale of second hand motorhome items, cake stall, book stall and tombola. We are grateful to the local businesses and manufacturers who donated prizes for our raffle to help raise such as fantastic amount.
